Falling in....
The onset of cold weather means that wool and fleece have once again become part of our daily uniform. It also means that big pots of soup are started early in the day keep the kitchen toasty and smelling yummy until dinner time. Pumpkin soup, corn muffins, wool hats, dark evenings, early bedtimes.... for now, I am enjoying the comforts of fall.

I too am enjoying the early evenings. I find my self looking back to August--remembering when the baby first came to me...on those nights we were wearing as little as possible, she was crying because of the heat, and the sun was far from setting. Now we bundle up for our last walk around the block and it has been dark for a while. I do love it now, it seems cozy. Talk to me in February!
ReplyDeleteI love the fall...my favorite time of the year. I love the change in menus and snuggling in my bed with the extra covers. I feel like I can be lazy and read a book for as long as I want.
ReplyDeleteMiss reading to my babies(Dee and Heather). That was always a fun evening event.
Love you madly Mom
I missed the Kids and Chaos header... Indeed, fall can be awesome if it is SUNNY and cool. I am not liking these cloudy days. But your hot soup and warm muffins certainly sound good. Did Greta take the photo of you and Simon?
